Become Someone Who Listens
Make a difference by offering your time and compassion
The Power of Being Present
As a volunteer listener, you won't give advice, try to fix problems, or share your own experiences. Instead, you'll offer something far more powerful: your full, compassionate presence. You'll create a safe space where someone feels truly heard—and that can change everything.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need professional training?
No. We provide all the training you need. While professional experience in counseling or social work is welcome, it's not required.
How much time do I need to commit?
Minimum of 2 hours per month. You control your schedule and can adjust your availability as needed.
What if I encounter a crisis situation?
We provide clear protocols for crisis situations, including when and how to refer someone to emergency services. You'll never be alone in handling difficult situations.
Is there ongoing support?
Yes! Volunteers have access to supervision, peer support groups, and resources to help process their experiences.
Can I volunteer if I have my own mental health challenges?
Everyone has challenges. What matters is that you're in a stable place and have the emotional capacity to support others. We discuss this during the screening process.
Is this service recorded?
